This is my second entry for
Salien Cat's contest. It is about how well you can depict an emotion, and this time I have decided to go with sadness.
Hopefully, I was able to depict the emotion well enough. The above sketch shows a wolf who has just lost his loved one making him all depressed and not having the will to live anymore. He wants his day to come and fast, so that he may join his lost partner.
I felt bad after drawing that tiger some few days back and so I tried to pick up myself and get this one done. It turned out well.
It is a photo redraw. One more thing, this is not a part of my True Wolf series. So, do not get confused with it. I will continue that series later on

Accessories used:
A4 paper, HB, 3B, 4B and 6B graphite pencils.
Charcoal pencils(hard).
Tortillion(blending sticks).
Time spent:
4 hrs over 2 days.

2) Slowly Freaking Out - Skylar Grey
3) That Na Na - Akon

Overall Vision

" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>Originality - I have seen sad wolves in DA some many times before. So, you may be losing some on this. But still there is a lot of difference to this from others I have seen.
Technique - I see nothing wrong on this. The fur detail around the head and the way you shaped the paws simply looks too great to express in words.
Impact - Oh! I feel sad alright. Just look at those half dimed strong look of those eyes. Gives me the creeps. Outstanding that.
